NATIVE LANGUAGES AT STANFORD
All Stanford undergraduates are required to complete one year of college-level study or the equivalent in a foreign language. The Language Center regularly offers fourteen languages and approximately 30 Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTL) on demand. Among the Special Languages Program (SLP) are five Native languages that are offered to all students, which includes Navajo, Cherokee, Lakota, Yup'ik, and Hawaiian.
